Cloud Ramble IOS App Privacy Policy and Terms of Usage

Section 1: Terms of usage

We respect the rights of others and we expect the same from you. You therefore may not use the Services, or enable anyone else to use the Services, in a manner that:

  1. You must be 17+ years old.
  2. Violating or infringing someone else’s rights of publicity, privacy, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right is unacceptable.
  3. No Bullies, harasses, deframes or intimidates.
  4. No Spams or solicits other users.

Any account that violates above maners will be warned or disabled permanently.

Section 2: Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on our app (Cloud Ramble) for iPhone and any other devices and platforms. Information we collect

New accounts are created through email addresses and passwords for the usage of Authentication, the authentication server provider our app utilized is Google Firebase.

You may optionally remove the email address and password from your account, at any time in Cloud Ramble app. Email addresses are only used for logging in, password resets, and sending notifications that you request. We don’t send promotional emails.

Since this app involved location sharing feature, we collect and store information about your GPS in our database (Google Firestore servive) and user can freely enable and disable GPS information sharing among other invited users at any time, our app will never sell or expose your GPS location to third party.

Technical basics

This app requires to use camera, mic of your iPhone to take pictures, recording videos with user’s premising.

This app requires to use WIFI or Cellular data to access internet.

This app requires to use your GPS to track your location.

If you send message through the chat room feature, we need to store your messages, including photo, video and audio in our server, the messages will be retains for 3 months or 1 year, depends on users decision.

For authentication purpose, we need to store the credentials, etc. email and password you provide in order to keep it updated.

Our server software may also store basic technical information, such as your IP address, in temporary memory or logs.

If you take photos or videos through our app, the photo and videos will be kept locally within your iPhone

If you enable the uploading and sharing your local photos and videos, we need to store them in our server (Google Firebase Storage). You can add or delete anytime through the app.

If you choose to upload and sharing your photos or videos, we will keep those data in our cloud storage server for different time period (Based on the storage plan you are involved in, detailed description shows in the Storage Plan Discription.) After the expiration of your storage, your media data will be deleted on the cloud storage server. You can always download photos and videos from cloud storage server into your iPhone at any time and keep them locally without being deleted.

Google Firebase Service

Cloud Ramble stores following informations in Google Firebase Service:

  1. Uploaded photos, videos, audios and text messages
  2. authentication information
  3. GPS information
  4. Interested point of location information

Ads and analytics

Cloud Ramble app collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app.

No personal data is used to target Cloud Ramble’s ads except the categories of channels or trips that you’re subscribed to, such as “Restaurant recommendation” or “Interest of points recommendation”. Each ad collects, and shares with its advertiser, only three numbers: total views, total taps, and total subscriptions from the ad.

Information usage

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our app, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Cloud Ramble’s functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people visit a particular location with Cloud Ramble.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Security

We adopt Google Firebase Service to provide professional security measures to help keep your information secure.

Accessing, changing, or deleting information

You may access or change your information or delete your account from the Cloud Ramble iOS app.

Cloud Ramble may delete your information at any time and for any reason, such as technical needs, legal concerns, abuse prevention, removal of idle accounts, data loss, or any other reason.

Third-party links and content

Cloud Ramble displays links and content from third-party feeds and sites, and downloads files directly from each Cloud Ramble’s third-party servers. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Information for European Union Customers

By using Cloud Ramble and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union. International Transfers of Information.

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
